I started my journey in higher education after graduating from high school and studying abroad in Japan. Working through my undergraduate degree was rewarding and allowed me to learn skills crucial to my continuing academic and professional experience through customer engagement and community outreach.
At the University of Nevada, Reno, I studied neuroscience with professors conducting research ranging from perception to Chronic traumatic encephalopathy (CTE). I became especially interested in trauma-informed care and collegiate recovery, taking part in SAFE Project's 2021-2022 Collegiate Recovery Leadership Academy.
After graduating with my BS in Neuroscience, I decided to continue my education through the Graduate School of Social Work at the University of Denver, focusing on Mental Health and Trauma. I began my internship with LifeWorks NW in the summer of 2023 and completed 18 months of work with clients in both individual and group settings under the supervision of a Licensed Clinical Social Worker.
